You may not know this, but back in the day, I used to be a bit of a Hanson fan – I mean who doesn’t love the song MMMBop right?! Don’t judge me but I still listen to their album “Middle of Nowhere” in my car.

After trying (and failing) to persuade anyone to come with me to see them when they played at the Academy in Bristol in July, I couldn’t believe it when I saw that they were playing a series of short outdoor gigs at Epcot. They were doing 3 shows per evening for 4 evenings in a row. This was my chance!

It was difficult to know how busy it was going to be but when we got near to the stage it soon became apparent that the answer to that question was VERY busy as there was a long queue, even though they weren’t due on for over an hour. They clearly still have a pretty big fanbase in the States. There were some proper fan girls in the crowd too, decked out in Hanson merch, who knew the lyrics to like every song.

We managed to get a seat and I am glad we made the effort to see them as it was a really good gig. MMMBop was a crowd pleaser that got everyone up on their feet singing, and they did a great set incorporating some old songs with their newer stuff. We even caught one of their later shows too so ended up seeing them twice.

It was cool being at Epcot in the evening too as everything is lit up and we got to see the big firework and light show at the end of the night.

Crazy golf update

Lucy 2 Simon 2 – it’s all square again after another game each. We get one free game per day with our Disney tickets. There are 4 courses to choose from so there will be many more games.
