Hi everyone, here’s the first update on our travels. We flew out for our first extended trip in the States last week on 2 Oct, and we’ll be in Florida for the next 2 months, staying in the Kissimmee area of Orlando, and then moving to the West coast to Clearwater / Tampa area for a week at the end. The weather is really hot, although there’s a hurricane forecast later this week so it’s turned a bit rainy and wet at the moment. Hopefully it doesn’t cause too much disruption in Orlando later this week.

We’ll try and post some updates and pics during the travels, although they might not be as varied and exciting as our planned trips next year where we will be doing busier road trips and moving around a lot as we’re not moving around much, although we’ll be doing loads of day trips and nice things I’m sure. We’re planning to go to Kennedy Space centre tomorrow for a tour, and there’s also a scheduled Space X rocket launch in the morning so as long as the weather doesn’t turn too bad we will hopefully get to see that.

Here’s a few pics of the apartment we are staying in in Orlando. Nice big place to live in, and it’s got two really nice pool areas, one which is right next to our apartment which has been really nice and quiet so far, and where it’s easy to take drinks if you want (obviously we do!).

We’ve stocked up our fridge already of course.

The other pool is a larger area for the resort complex as a whole and has slides, a lazy river, hot tub, bar, gym etc. That was really packed yesterday when we went over as it was the weekend, but apparently it gets quieter in the week. We’ll go back to check that out soon.

We went to ‘Celebration’ yesterday for a walk around the town and lake which was really nice. We’ll post some more updates and pics soon!
