Touring more hotels and our first (of many I’m sure) mini golf
Hi all, we’ve had a quieter week this week in Orlando, but we’re gearing up to some busy days over the next couple of weeks when we are planning to go to more theme parks. We did have our first games of mini golf this week which was a good Hawaiian themed 2x 18 holes near where we are staying – one win each for those who are counting! Although there was only one hole in one overall, so I’ll let you decide who the real winner is 😉

We also did another day touring round more of the themed hotels at Disney World, these were the big, premium, and super expensive hotels that are located right near the theme parks and accessible via a monorail or boat across the lake.

This was the ‘Grand Floridian’ resort, their main hotel really which even has a wedding chapel. There were at least two weddings we saw going on that day, super popular.

This was ‘Fort Wilderness Lodge’ which I think was our favourite of the day. We had to get a boat over to get there, and it was themed like a national park lodge. They even had some accommodation which was woodland lodges, a bit like Center Parcs.

This was the ‘Contemporary resort’ which had a monorail running right through the hotel which was cool.

And finally the ‘Polynesian resort’ where we stopped for a drink by the pool and to get in the mood for our trip next year to Hawaii.

We also went to ‘Disney Springs’ which is the retail, shopping and nightlife venue they have where we went to ‘Raglan Road’ which is the big Irish pub, with live music and Irish dancers, and then also went to see a ‘Cirque Du Soleil’ show for my birthday (not really any pics from there as you weren’t allowed).

Plenty more pics and updates coming soon I’m sure once we start hitting all the theme parks properly next week.

We’re going for another game today so a chance for lucy to redeem herself 🙂
That Fort Wilderness Lodge looks awesome! Don’t think I’d seen it before. Crazy Golf looks excellent too
Yeah it was really cool there. All the hotels are really nice for a wander around. Got one more tour to do sometime around the ones joined by the cable cars 🙂
