City Walk – a slice of Italy, Hard Rock hotel, doughnuts and Gladiator II
We went to see the new Gladiator film at City Walk the other day (City Walk is the entertainment area that sits next to Universal Studios) – you get free parking if you buy tickets to the cinema so thought we’d combine that with having a walk around some of the lakes and hotels that were nearby. Check out how blue and clear the water is.
Portofino Bay Hotel
This hotel is inspired by the seaside town of Portofino, Italy and it didn’t disappoint.
Hard Rock hotel
Finally we made a stop at Voodoo doughnuts. They have some random offerings inside, including a doughnut that has bacon rashers on top. I mean, the bacon is glazed but still, we steered clear of that one!
As for the verdict on the film…very good and definitely a worthy follow up to the original (sharks in the Colosseum aside!).

Hotels look great guys, haven’t seen any of that part of City Walk! Ehat doughnuts did you go for?
Yeah we’d never been to those before but it was a nice walk down for a look around. We had the blueberry and the pink doughnuts, both very nice!
