Hawaii Island Tour

Hawaii Island Tour

On our second full day on Oahu we took a guided tour around the island, which was a good way to see a lot more of the area and loads of the highlights when we don’t have a rental car here. The tour was only a small group of 7 of us, and it lasted around 8 hours total, picking us up near our Airbnb and then circling the island. Here’s various pics from the stops we made:

Sunrise on the East Coast

Halona Blowhole

This wasn’t as “active” as it can be when the waves are higher, but we managed to see it in action a bit at this stop.

Stop for fresh Pineapple from “the Pineapple Guy”

A very popular food truck stop and some lovely local pineapple.

Pali Lookout

Dole Pineapple Plantation

Lunch stop at the North Shore Food Trucks

There was a massive selection of local food trucks here for a lunch stop. We opted to get a traditional Hawaiian “plate dinner” which was BBQ beef and rice primarily but was very nice. They had a beer tap room as well where you could sit outside and eat your food so we opted to get a sneaky lunch time pint too.

Macadamia Nut Farm

This was a good stop as they had loads of free samples of coffee and different flavoured macadamia nuts – we tried them all 🙂
