Last few days in Vegas baby!!!
Spent the last few days in Vegas doing some of the free things that are on offer in some of the hotels. As you can imagine there isn’t many, but the things they do have are well worth a visit.
Conservatory and botanical gardens in Bellagio
This is an area in the Bellagio Hotel. The area was in fact under construction as they have a whole design celebrating the Chinese New Year so unfortunately it wasn’t yet complete and therefore you could only view it from around the outside rather than walk through., but it was still good to see it.

There was a picture showing you what it would look like when finished…think it was due to open after we just left which was a shame.

I also took a picture of the lobby as there were some amazing glass flowers on the ceiling.

Behind the lake at the Bellagio when you are walking away from it. No fountains were on display sadly but there was a good view of the Paris Hotel across the street.

Wildlife Habitat at Flamingo
The Flamingo Hotel and Casino randomly has a wildlife habitat within comprising of gardens, streams, waterfalls and wildlife. Again this is free and very peaceful so a great way to escape the craziness of the strip.

Some bird pics for my Dad to enjoy…

Freemont Street
This is part of the old town in Vegas, which is a pedestrian walkway full of various entertainment venues and acts taking place on the street itself, under a glitter ceiling. Seems like anything goes in terms of street acts as we saw numerous showgirls and Chippendale-type men trying to entice the public for a chat/photo, all at a cost of course. There were magicians, artists and even a giant dancing gorilla.
If you look closely towards the top of the ceiling you can see a zipwire, called “Slotzilla”, which allows you to fly like superman down part of the street. We were tempted…for like half a second, ha!

We have arrived at our next destination now of Zion National Park where we are for 4 nights. We took the scenic route to get here so took a bit longer but we got to stop and loads of great places and got some amazing photos so look out for these on our next blog post which we will try and do later as we are off out on a hike now.
Thanks for reading!
Lucy
